Mattia binotto he is ready to return. The former engineer Ferrari, after ending his relationship with the Italian team in the role of team principal, has finished gardening which he necessarily had to respect before being able to return to Formula 1. This was announced by the "Corriere dello Sport”: Binotto, therefore, will from now on not only be able to feel with someone stable (and there is no denying that he has already done so), but he could immediately enter the scene once the hypothetical agreement has been reached.
Ferrari, Binotto has finished gardening: return to F1?
After an excellent relationship with Ferrari, which however did not end brilliantly once he assumed the position of team principal, the paths between Mattia Binotto and the Maranello Scuderia they separated November 2022. It was, to be precise, the November 29, 2022, when Ferrari, through a press release, announced the separation by the end of the year with the engineer who was permanently employed in Maranello 28 years ago. Precisely due to the long years and the importance of the roles covered, the gardening that Binotto had to respect was approximately one year and not six months.

There was no shortage of offers…
Despite the stalemate, there was no shortage of offers for Binotto. Initially it was thought of Audi, ready to take over Formula 2026 in 1 but several denials have come from Germany. However, that was an invited offer of the Alpine which, subsequently of Szafnauer's departure during the season (Belgian GP to be precise), Binotto's name has resonated strongly within the paddock. There had even been talk of the possibility of seeing the former Ferrari take over already during the current season, but so - inevitably, in the end - has not been. And who knows, with the gardening finished, the possibility of seeing Binotto's return to Formula 1 - once again as team principal - may become increasingly reality.
