Here we go: the winter break is over. The time has come to get on track for the first ones test, the ones where we will finally see the new ones in action for the first time single-seater 2023 (always, obviously, with that aura of mystery that these tests leave).
Bike accident for Stroll: he misses the tests
By Wednesday evening, all teams will have to present their line-up for these 3 days on the circuit Bahrain; some have already done so, for example Red Bull, others will communicate it in the next few hours.
A team, however, will have to "redo the calculations": Aston Martin will in fact have to change their work plan since Lance stroll was the victim of a minor bike accident during its preparation for the new F1 season. The pilot sustained some injuries, but appears to be fine. His conditions will be assessed daily so as to allow him to get back on track in time for the Bahrain GP next week.
“I had an unfortunate crash while training on my bike for the season” – said the Canadian. “I'm determined to get back in the car quickly and I'm excited about tackling a new season with the team. I am motivated to get back in shape as soon as possible”.

Aston without Stroll: who will replace him?
Now, the English team will have to replace the son of the owner of the team, and they would find the choice at home.
In fact, "on the bench" is one of the greatest talents on the current world scene as well as this year's F2 champion Felipe Drugovich, which is currently the name more eligible. The other reserve pilot, Stoffel vandoorne, will be busy at Cape Town with the Formula E, so it will not be available.
Another possible scenario could be see Fernando Alonso test for 3 consecutive days, as it did just last year Lando Norris, when his stablemate Daniel Ricciardo tested positive for Covid-19.
