After officialized a few weeks ago Felipe Drugovich as Test Driver for 2023, Aston Martin has decided to want to join to the Brazilian another pilot, certainly with more experience.

The 22-year-old as well F2 World Champion he could not have filled such an important role alone. Precisely for this reason, the english team has decided to sign the new FE champion Stoffel vandoorne including Test Driver. The Belgian will, however, still be busy with DS Penske in the 2022/2023 season of the top category of electric cars. When it comes to Vandoorne, however, one cannot fail to mention his passed into F1, which was not very brilliant: in fact, he ran 48 races between 2016 and 2018, scraping together a few dots with a McLaren not so performant.

After 4 years, the former top driver of the Mercedes FE will return to F1; in an interview a few hours ago it was said ready for this new challenge and will do whatever it takes to help Fernando Alonso e Lance stroll to have the best performing machine possible. “It is incredibly exciting to step into a reserve role in Formula 1 – and I am delighted to be doing so with Aston Martin. I have watched with great interest how the team has developed and expanded operationally and know how incredibly determined they are to make progress in every area. Unite Fernando, who I already know from my Formula 1 career, and Lance, to help them develop and improve next year's car will be a fantastic job, and I am looking forward to the challenge - and reward - of working together with all the organization of Silverstone”.
