The news was in the air, and the official announcement finally came. In view of the tests in Bahrain, which will take place from February 23rd to 25th, Aston Martin have announced that Felipe Drugovich will replace the injured man Lance stroll.
Aston Martin, selected Drugovich
Looking forward to discovering the entire program, the Silverstone team has already communicated that on the first day of the tests, therefore Thursday, it will be Drugovich himself who will open the dance on the new AM23. The Brazilian was the favorite to replace Stroll, considering that the team's second reserve driver, Vandoorne, will be busy this weekend with the Formula E. So Drugovich will open the dance, followed Thursday afternoon by Fernando Alonso. It will therefore be a good opportunity for Drugovich to test the car, even if from what filters Lance Stroll should be available again in the team next week when, again in Bahrain, there will be the first green light of the season.

The first rounds are coming
Aston aren't the only team that have already confirmed their driver rosters ahead of testing. Haas in fact, he communicated that, on Thursday, Hulkenberg will drive in the morning, while in the afternoon he will leave room for Magnussen. Opposite shift instead on Friday with the Dane busy in the morning, while the day will be closed by Hulkenberg. On Saturday, however, Hulkenberg will race in the morning, while Magnussen will race again in the afternoon. The choice at home is different Red Bull with Verstappen who will drive on Thursday both in the morning and in the afternoon, while Perez will have the whole day available on Saturday. Friday will be the day in which the two riders will alternate: precisely Perez in the morning and Verstappen in the afternoon. Alternation we'll see in the Williams house only on Thursdays with Albon in the morning and Sargeant in the afternoon. On Friday, however, space will be left for the American rookie, while Albon will be on the track on Saturday.
