This summer hasn't been particularly easy for the Alpine. Before Alonso's announcement who he had signed up with Aston Martin to replace the four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel, then the scandal Plates-McLaren which he totally has displaced il french team considering that the natural substitute di Fernando was really the Australian. But, after the signing of Pierre Gasly, the transalpine team has found a new talent to mature before launching it in F1.
Doohan will ride for Alpine in FP1 in Mexico and Abu Dhabi
jack doohan, currently fourth in F2, will take the place of Esteban Ocon this week into Mexico during the FP1. Also Australian (just like Piastri) e family tradition since his father Mick doohan, won 5 championships in the series 500 tsp of motorcycles. The 19 year old he has already driven the Alpine durante a Filming Day in Imola where, to try out the new updates and for sponsor issues, it has done well 100 km.

Like any guy in the categories, Doohan too aspires to F1 and above all, to become one day World Champion. For this he has immensely thanked the Alpine for the opportunity and that will work hard to deserve a seat. “I am extremely grateful to Alpine for giving me the opportunity to drive in free practice in Mexico. It's always a great honor to be called upon to race in a Formula 1 car, so having this opportunity on a race weekend is very special."
“The goal is to get to do it every week and this experience represents another step forward in this direction. I have prepared well and I think it will be very exciting to test the car on this type of circuit, at high altitudes and with a very high top speed.
