The last weekend played by Alpine in Canada it was to say the least eccellente. Sixth and seventh at the finish line – before the finish line penalty for Alonso – e very good qualification Saturday. The only negative could be the strategy error with Fernando Alonso causing the Spaniard to lose invaluable positions in the final ranking. But right now, the only thing to focus on is the next GP a Silverstone and the pilots, especially Ocon, are very confident of the potential of the machine.
More updates ahead of the weekend on the English circuit
The Alpine, Together with Red Bull, seems to be the team “livelier” from the point of view of development of the car. In fact, they are waiting for this race weekend new additions on the French team's A522. The characteristics of the circuit, however, do not seem to recall those of the Alpine: very fast in the straights (we saw it with Leclerc), it sins a bit in the curves, and most of those on the English circuit are at high load. Precisely for this reason the engineers of the team will bring new updates for make the machine as efficient as possible.
What are Alpine's goals?
At the moment, the French stable plays among the mid-table stables, but with these developments the team wants to become the main opponent of Mercedes, third consolidated force. These are the words of Esteban Ocon: “We are not yet up to challenging Mercedes, in Montreal we were passed by both cars, there is still a lot of work to do. But that's the goal: they're next on the list”.

The Frenchman also spoke about the frequency of updates that will be needed to beat the German team, saying: "We have a few updates coming, it should be a good step forward. There are high expectations, yes, it will be an important week starting from Tuesday. There is a lot of work and we hope to go well, because the car is in the condition it should be".
