We discovered the new name of AlphaTauri a few days ago, by chance from social media. A slightly bizarre preview that left Formula 1 fans dumbfounded, who from one day to the next saw AlphaTauri change its name to “Visa Cash App RB” on Instagram while leaving the old logo unchanged. Pretty strange strategy. A few hours later the entire profile of the satellite team of Red Bull it was made to disappear only to return a few days later as Scuderia AlphaTauri. As if nothing had happened. However, it was a matter of time for the change to materialize. In fact, yesterday the team published a reel in which it officially greeted the AlphaTauri brand and subsequently a graphic with three letters "B.RB". Another clue, that the new beginning was near. Well, today, almost a week after the mystery of the name revealed by mistake, AlphaTauri has made its new identity known via a official announcement.
AlphaTauri becomes Visa Cash App RB
AlphaTauri will return from the winter break with a name and a rebranding that had already been planned for some time. The team in 2020 took the name to promote the company's fashion brand. But after 4 years the time has come for a change. The full name will be Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team but they will commonly be called RB, an even stronger link to Red Bull. Visa Cash App RB will also be the name used to support entry into the F1 Academy category.

“This is an innovative partnership and a great opportunity for the Visa brand to enter one of the fastest growing sports communities on the planet,” said Frank Cooper III, Chief Marketing Officer at Visa.
As stated in the press release, the two companies are committed to pushing the team towards excellence on the starting grid. They are also committed to providing cardholders with the opportunity to get closer to the action through activities with the team.
AlphaTauri ended 2023 on a high note. The team is also forging ever closer ties with Red Bull, which worries the competition quite a bit. With CEO Peter Bayer focused on F1 competition and a bold vision with new team principal Laurent Mekies from Ferrari, there are significant opportunities for increased competitiveness.
The words of Peter Bayer
"It's great to unveil the new identity and welcome new partners as we move into the next phase of the team's Formula 1 history“Bayer said. “Faenza is entering a new era of racing, remaining true to its roots as a hotbed of talent, but now with an even greater focus on competing for the biggest honors in F1. We have a bold vision for the team led by myself and Team Principal, Laurent Mekies, and having future-focused partners like Visa and Cash App alongside us on this journey is extremely exciting.”
The single-seater will be presented on February 8th
In addition to the new name, the team revealed the presentation date of Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo's single-seater which will take place inFebruary 8th, in Las Vegas for a special event. On this occasion, a new livery will also be revealed which will logically feature the Visa logo. The suggestions of a return to bright blue, which characterize the new logo and brand identity, bring to mind the single-seaters of the former Toro Rosso. The font of the numbers, present on the announcement document, also changes.
