Great attention is paid to the house Aston Martin. The Silverstone team took most of the spotlight during the three days of testing, in particular with a Fernando Alonso defined particularly “on fire". Fernando, how do you feel about this new season?
"I feel good. I think the feeling is always the same: you prepare over the winter and, having less and less tests to prepare for, you feel a little less ready, especially if you change teams. But we can't wait to leave".
What condition are you in?
“You never know what other people are doing. You usually just focus on your schedule and that's what we did. After the first three races, as they are all very different circuits, we will understand our true level. We still believe we have taken a step forward compared to 2022: we have a better basis and I'm sure you can see it ”.
What did you find in Aston Martin and how do you perceive your role?
“I think it's a very ambitious project: there are talented people who want to win and be successful in the near future. It was a wonderful discovery: everyone is pushing towards the same path but I think the word ambition best represents us".
Can you win a race this year?
"It's very difficult to say right now."
What do you think of the change to the chicane in Barcelona?
"On the plus side, I've shot on this other layout before, so it won't be much different for me."
