After the presentations of Red Bull e Williams, here it is Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stakes arrives at the presentation of its single-seater for the 2023 Championship. The C43 was presented today with a live stream, and the car was unveiled by the two drivers, Valtteri Bottas e Zhou Guangyu. A basic car was used in the presentation, or in any case with standardized elements, while the Hinwil team subsequently released renderings relating to the new single-seater.
The car has a similar livery to last year, with the black color of the carbon fiber more prominent than in 2022 (carbon also highlighted on the rear wing). The red is of a brighter shade, and is also present on the wheel trims. Compared to the presentation, we can see elements in the rendering that make this car innovative (indicating that it is not a simple livery on an older model). In particular, we can highlight the loopholes on the upper part of the bonnet, a clear sign of a greater outlet for cooling the Ferrari Power Unit. The bottom is also very notched, a clear sign of an aerodynamic study to exploit that part and convey the air towards the rear. Indented elements can also be seen in the area of the mouths on the bellies. The front suspension is configured in push-rod mode, lowering the car's center of gravity.

Let's start from Umbertidese Alessandro Good students, managing director e team representative for Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stakes: “Bringing a car to life is a job that involves all sectors of a team, so it's a moment of pure pride. We decided to do it close to home because it's a time when you give importance to those who support you every moment. The new car is the result of months of work, but today is just the beginning of a new journey. We have to work seriously, with humility and fully dedicating ourselves to bringing performance to the track. The whole team is focused on this, and I'm sure we will reap the fruits of our work".
Of very similar opinion he is Valtteri Bottas, one of the two riders of the team from Hinwil: “The C43 is here, and I can't wait to take it to the track. I like the new livery, and I think it's an improvement on last year. We made good progress last year, and have only one direction to go: forward. We have to improve, there will be a lot of work to do, but I'm sure that all together we can aim for great results. I'm ready for the new season".
The Zhou Guangyu, the other driver, is very excited for the upcoming new season: “I am happy to see the C43 unveiled. We have a great design for 2023 and I'm looking forward to testing the car in Barcelona before testing in Bahrain. The team made me feel at home right from the start, and expectations for 2023 are obviously higher. I'm excited for the new season, and I'm ready to go on the attack”.
As mentioned by Zhou Guanyu, Alfa Romeo has scheduled a shakedown as part of a filming day at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalonia, before proceeding to Bahrain. According to reports, the car is an evolution of the C42 with many new parts hidden under the bonnet, and expectations are very high.
