Max's domain Verstappen over the weekend in Japan reached its peak in today's race. Max's weekend in the land of the rising sun had started with the best conditions, and today fulfilled the very high expectations that were on him. First position and fastest lap for the Dutchman, who will have the first wildcard in the Qatar sprint to bring home their third consecutive world championship. Max's victory guarantees the well-deserved conquest of the constructors' title to the winged bull team.
The conditions for a golden weekend
The perfect weekend exists, and Max proves it yet again. Verstappen entered the eve of the Japan race with a streak of top times in every session. Give her free tests yesterday's qualifications, Max didn't want to listen to reason. On the flying lap there was no story, on the race pace he faltered slightly and then restore order. Once again the number one of Red Bull silences the rumors that the winged bull team was the underdog after the new directive. He does it on Saturdays snatching a sensational pole position leaving Piastri at more than a tenth, and repeating the test of strength on Sunday. Singapore is set aside, and Max knew it before the others.

Dutch Sunday
Verstappen's start isn't the best. Norris manages to have an optimal gap and joins him at the first corner. The Dutchman, threatened by the McLaren number 4 on the outside in turn one, holds firm and remains in first position. Max gives another test of resistance to the restart: the Safety Car had come in after a contact at the rear when the traffic lights went out. After the virtual safety car Max returns to the pits to fit the medium tyre, and after the pit stop dance he regains the leadership of the race. The two-time world champion flies towards the finish line undisturbed and almost never seen. Yet another show of strength from #33, who just had to resist the dangers of the first corner to bring home another victory in a season of total hegemony.
Verstappen talks about the team and the risk at the start
To the microphones of Sky Max said a few words in honor of the monstrous performance of today: "it was a truly incredible weekend. Winning here is great. The car worked very well on every compound, but the most important thing is obviously winning the constructors' title. I am very proud of all those who work on the track and at the headquarters. We are having an incredible year and I am proud of everyone. At the start I had a lot of spinning, but other than that it was a smooth and calm race."
