There are plenty of pitfalls at the F1 Singapore GP. The circuit is always a very challenging event for drivers and teams, both due to its characteristics and the weather. Typically, it's the intensely humid heat that puts the cars and drivers to the test. Rain is forecast for Sunday, however, and this could further mix things up and offer another opportunity to those chasing the McLarens, which remain the cars to beat.
Who to choose at the bottom of the grid?
It could be a lively race on Sunday, on a street circuit and with complicated weather conditions. It will probably be required from teams and drivers a perfect weekend read, between qualifying and especially the race. The last one to have achieved a brilliant performance in such variable conditions and, among other things, starting from the back, was precisely Nico Hulkenberg. The German showed all his skills during the Silverstone GP and this allowed him to conquer his first ever career podium.
But unfortunately, The Sauber driver's season took a slight dive from that point on. In fact, Silverstone was the last race he scored points in. Furthermore, he is suffering from the performances put on the track by his teammate, Gabriel Bortoleto. The Brazilian driver, however, showed that he still had some difficulties in the rain. For this reason Singapore could be at Fanta F1 to finally see Nico Hulkenberg shine again, who absolutely needs to get better results compared to what has been collected recently.

In the middle of the group it is better to focus on a Williams and a Racing Bull
There are two teams in great form in the middle of the pack: one is Williams and the other is Racing BullBoth teams, returning from the summer break, are having a great championship. Despite a few too many errors from their drivers, in the end we consistently find at least one of their two cars inside the points zone. The last race, in Baku, saw him finally shine again, Carlos Sainz. In Singapore, and at Fanta F1, he could find a friendly circuit, here where in 2023 he was the only driver to have won a race without being on board a Red Bull.
Hadjar, on the other hand, is demonstrating the solidity of a great driver.. Even when Liam Lawson, his teammate, is having a better weekend, the French driver still manages to bring home some points. Having him at Fanta F1, here too Singapore, could prove very useful. Not only for its performance on the track, but also because it still has a fairly low list price compared to some of his more illustrious but certainly more inconsistent colleagues.
There is no doubt in front of everyone: we choose Super Max
Let's now move on to the first and second tier pilots. For the latter we have often relied on Leclerc, who in fact on many weekends has proven to be the best compared to the papaya duo and the reigning world champion Verstappen. However, Ferrari is experiencing a period of great crisis and confusion, as demonstrated by the accident involving the Monegasque in the pit lane during the FP2 to the detriment of the unfortunate Norris. Who, however, albeit too silently, he's amazing in this 2025 is George Russell. The English driver, even when it seems he cannot aspire to great results, almost always manages to surprise the competition. Finally, then, the Mercedes seems to have taken a step back on the developments made to the car in mid-summer, which had weakened it compared to other competing teams. This, in part, has given back the possibility for Russell to continue to fight harder at least for the lowest step of the podium.
In addition to the Papaya team, which in Baku appeared to be in real difficulty since the beginning of the weekend, there's Max Verstappen. The Dutch driver seems to have entered a new state of grace. This is also thanks to his team, which is once again giving him a machine capable of enhancing his talent. Some, among other things, have put it back in contention for the world title, but reaching Piastri at the top of the rankings would be truly an unprecedented sporting miracle.
