Night falls in Singapore and the Formula 1After FP1, he took to the track for FP2: in a session marked by two red flags, Oscar Piastri set the fastest time. Lawson and Sainz both crashed, while Leclerc made an unsafe release, forcing Norris to change his wing. Hadjar and Verstappen completed the top three.
No rain in sight in Singapore
After a few minutes the drivers take to the track in a session that promises to be dry despite the possibility of rain given in the previous days. Everyone puts on their medium tyres, while trying to find the feeling again in view of tomorrow's qualifying, which will take place at this very time.
Gabriel Bortoleto and Kimi Antonelli are the protagonists of a long run that forces them to use the escape route, while the two McLarens sign a 1-2 in Singapore, "ruined" after a few minutes of FP2 by Verstappen and Lawson, who get ahead of Piastri. Lando Norris remains in front of everyone, who on the fastest lap lean against the wall, risking damaging his car. Times continued to drop in Singapore as the FP2 session progressed, and Piastri edged out Norris by just 7 seconds, followed by Hamilton, Alonso (on hard tyres), Sainz, and Verstappen.
Accidents in Singapore FP2: Russell and Lawson crash into the wall
After 20 minutes George Russell crashed at Turn 16. Quite a serious accident for the Englishman, who lost grip on his rear tires and counter-steered into the barriers. He managed to restart and return to the pits despite a completely detached front wing and a puncture. Session ended for the number 1 Mercedes and red flag on the track to clean the track and reset the barriers.

With 30 minutes to go, the cars return to the track with red tires to run the qualifying simulation. The Ferraris, however, remain on the medium tires. In Singapore, when the times were starting to be interesting in these FP2s, especially that of Piastri, here is the exposed second red flag of these FP2.
Lawson hits the wall on the right in the penultimate corner of the lap after oversteering while accelerating, first with the rear tire and then with the front. The result? A rear puncture and the loss of the front rim, with Lawson trying to return to the pits but forced to stop in the pit entry lane between a sea of sparks.

In the last 10 minutes the red rubber is tested
There's no time to leave and immediately another one scene shot in Singapore. Coming out of the pits Norris hits the wall in the pit lane trying to avoid Leclerc, who had been pushed out just as the English driver was passing. At this point Penalty likely for Leclerc ahead of the race.
In a session in which the fastest lap on red tyres has not yet been attempted, everyone is looking for a clean lap to simulate tomorrow's qualifying, thus excluding the race pace simulation.
In Singapore these crazy FP2s end with the Oscar Piastri's best time, followed by Hadjar, Verstappen, Alonso, Norris, Stroll, Ocon, Sainz, Leclerc and Hamilton.
