It has just been announced the 2023 season calendar of F1 which will be the longest ever with well- 24 races. There was no shortage of news, such as the GP's exclusion of French replaced by the new entry Las Vegas and some returns like the Chinese and Qatar GPs. For enthusiasts no doubt fascinates the possibility of see more grand prizes, but for teams it becomes a drama. The main reason is undoubtedly linked to the costs of travel between one circuit and another increased dramatically.
All the teams attack the FIA
After the last grand prix in Italy e the FIA's choice of finish the race under Safety Car many teams there were complain and not a little. Indeed, many believed that this decision had yes benefited some riders, but disadvantaged all the others. This had led some stables to question whether had not come the time to "change the air" for the FIA. As a first step, an idea circulated concerning the calendar: write it from scratch leaving only the lightest parts and fixing all the gray areas of it. But after the release of the 2023 calendar, there are rumors that the teams are thinking it will help a radical change within the FIA.
The teams are not there
To arrive at this reasoning was the short notice given to the teams to meet and vote on the stages of the next world championship, about 3 hours. Also, we talk about how had not been approved the hat-trick USA-Mexico-Brazilbut that instead has been duly entered. Another point on which the fury of the pilots is based the relocation of the Belgian GP (this season course at the end of August) al 30th July, given that this choice also seems to have been implemented without the consent of the teams; another problem derived from this shift is the overlapping of the GP with the 24 hours of Spa. In short, the poor concentration and poor reactivity demonstrated by the FIA stand unleashing a war between the FIA itself and the F1 teams and the impression is that it has just begun.
